This guy was hard to get a shot of. I kept losing him through the lens – he blended into the flower bed. He appeared to be doing web repair so he may have just finished breakfast.

I don’t know what kind of catepillars these are or if they turn into any type of pretty butterfly, but they can sure do damage to the trees. This is a neighbor’s tree by the road. I noticed the webs while I was out walking. I had never looked quite as closely as I did at these, so I had never noticed that the catepillars seem to be eating the chlorophyll/green part of the leaves from the inside and leaving the membrane of the leaves intact. Not sure if you can tell what I’m talking about from the photo, but it is a bit amazing and creepy at the same time.

I had a hard time getting these two to hold still for me. 
This was one of the times I wished I had more of a zoom lens.

My neighborhood had our annual night out against crime. This little girl looked like a movie star in training, but she was bashful in front of the camera! Every time I tried to get her photo she turned away. Maybe she’s being an aloof starlet!

My eight year old granddaughter has had a bit of a problem letting go of her training wheels. Her sisters have been teasing her, so week before last she “just decided” she was going to ride without them – and she did! I don’t think she’s needed them for quite a while but wasn’t ready to give up the security they offered. I got this shot when she was showing me how well she can ride now. They are growing up so fast….

This was a drive by shot of the Nashville skyline I took while sitting in traffic. I applied an old polaroid preset to it in light room. I like the Polaroid effect witht he sun flare. Nashville is a nice size city, big enough to have a lot of ”city” features but with small town charm and plenty of great music.
