I planted some morning glories this spring and they have done very well. They’ve climbed the trellis by my mailbox and have started blooming. I keep trying to get a shot of the open blooms, but they aren’t all the way open when I leave for work – maybe this weekend. I love the heart shape of the leaves.

One of my best friends got this for me recently. She’s not the first to tell me I need to be patient, and I’m sure she won’t be the last!

There are several of these power line towers in my neighborhood. On the route that I walk I pass two of them. One has flowers planted all around the base – primarily tiger lillies. :) The other is not “decorated” at all, but it was easier to walk under to get this shot. I like that it looks black and white even though it is a color shot. The clouds were hazy blue gray, the tower is gray. I like the abstract look of it.

I took a few shots of my irises this morning before I left for work.  The first blooms are starting to fade but many more have opened up. I’m glad they last for a while! (Did I mention I love flowers?)

I shot into the sun and love the way the bokeh turned out. Before I started this 365 project I could see something like this in my mind and HOPE the bokeh came out as I was seeing it – now I know how to do it intentionally!!! :)

Our homeowner’s association sponsers recycling every month. I was surprised to see that one of the volunteers drove his antique Chevrolet truck to haul the newspapers, plastic, and other recyclables to the recycling center. That’s recycling in style!

Here is another diner that has been in Cartersville since my dad was a boy, 4 Way Lunch. It is at a busy intersection of a four way stop. It was difficult to get a shot because of all the traffic. I had to focus between cars passing and then wait for a space between cars big enough to snap the photo. I got several with the backs and fronts of cars before I got a space big enough to get just the diner. If you think the photo looks a little bit crooked, look again. Compare the yellow line in the road to the bottom of the photo – pretty strait. The diner really looks like it is not level.
