My granddaughters have been wanting a dog for quite a while. The oldest finally talked mom into going to the shelter “just to look”….you know what that means…. Here’s my new grandpuppy Jasper! He’s part German shepherd and possibly part Husky with those blue eyes. He seems to be smart and has survived a week with four little girls and a cat. He’s got a great personality and is already trying to “protect” the girls. I think he’s going to be  good dog!

I played with my new remote control and window light today trying to get a new profile photo of myself. Here’s a couple of the shots that I’m ok with. Other than converting the first one to black and white, they are both straight out of the camera. I have a great window! ;) ….but I don’t like doing photos of myself. I’d rather be behind the camera.

Kevin Kubota presented a session at the Tennessee Professional Photographers Association annual convention. He challenged us to do an alphabet challenge to make us look at things in a different way. Here’s my alphabet.

I used to be able to leave only one peg in this puzzle. Now I have to try several times to leave just two. According to the scale I’m still “purty smart” so I guess that will have to do!

This is what chasing my granddaughters around does to my dog. He feels it’s his duty to protect them, so he constantly follows them around and misses out on his daily naps. He could hardly hold his eyes open when I took this. :)

This metal “sculpture” is outside of a local art gallery. It is made from old metal barrels. The bush has started growing around the “driver” so he’s hard to see. I wonder how long he’s been on the curb!
