When I saw this, I knew I had to have a shot of it. I love the way the purple is offset by the white in the background. Even though it looks like a field of flowers, it’s really landscaping at a local museum. The right camera angle can get rid of parking lots and buildings!

I’m not sure of the names of these – they may be blackeyed susans, but they are blooming in several neighbor’s yards. They look like a cross between a daisy and a sunflower to me.

This guy was hard to get a shot of. I kept losing him through the lens – he blended into the flower bed. He appeared to be doing web repair so he may have just finished breakfast.

These are taking over several yards in the neighborhood. They dry up as soon as the sun and heat get to them.
