I love the look of concentration and determination on my youngest granddaughter’s face. Who knew blowing bubbles was so much work!

I went to see the Chihuly glass exhibit at Cheekwood Botanical Gardens. If any of his work is ever close enough to you, go see it! It’s quiet impressive. The first photo is a close up showing the detail in “The Sun”. The second is “Blue Herons”. The third is “Sunset Boat”.

I took a few shots of my irises this morning before I left for work. The first blooms are starting to fade but many more have opened up. I’m glad they last for a while! (Did I mention I love flowers?)
I shot into the sun and love the way the bokeh turned out. Before I started this 365 project I could see something like this in my mind and HOPE the bokeh came out as I was seeing it – now I know how to do it intentionally!!!

Today we had the most severe storms so far this spring. It doesn’t get as bad here as it does in other states, but it seems in the last few years we have had more tornados and damaging winds. I got a few shots of some really neat clouds in between the lines of storms. We had several instances of hard rain – to the point my backyard looked like a small lake with lots of splashing!

Tonight a friend treated me to dinner. Two hours of girl talk was quite fun! We had a very entertaining waiter too. I think he might have gotten in trouble once for lingering at our table a bit too long talking to us. He looked at me funny but never asked why I was taking photos of all the stuff on the table. My favorite ended up being a macro of the bubbles and ice in one of the drinks.

This is a close up of my contact lens in the cleaning solution. The solution is perxoide based. It really bubbles a lot when my allergies are acting up – like they are now!
