On a recent trip to my Mom and Dad’s, I decided to take some photos of the many beautiful flowers my Mom has in the yard. While I was taking the photos I looked up to find I had an audience. These cows all seemed quite curious about what I was doing. They are Amish cows, owned by my parent’s Amish neighbors, so I guess they had never seen a camera before. ;)   They stood staring at me until I got a little closer than they felt comfortable, then they started backing up, all the while still staring.

Well….let’s just say I’ve been busy and haven’t had a chance to post photos. I’ve been taken them but there’s been so much going on that I haven’t had time to post. Here’s the bulk of the catch up photos.

I’m trying to get some good tomato shots that I could possibly enter in the Tomato Festival art display in August. Here’s the first one! This is an Amish tomato on flat bread with mozzarella cheese and a splash of balsamic vinaigrette dressing.

This is a country store where the Amish catch the bus to go on trips that are to long for travelling by buggy. The feel is as if you’ve stepped back in time, especially if there are a few Amish buggies parked there while waiting for family to arrive on the bus

My parents live in an area where a lot of Amish families live. They won’t let you take photos of them that show their face. I got these while sitting on my parents front porch. I did a little work on these with a Lightroom preset.
