What does it take to sendĀ a kindergartener, 3rd grader, and 6th grader back to school? Lots of paper, glue, crayons, and markers. I think I feel a series coming on….. I always loved going back to school. I was one of those geeky kids that always enjoyed going. I always loved getting new school supplies too. There just something about nice clean notebook paper, freshly sharpened pencils, and a new box of crayons!

More fun with tomatoes tonight. I think I finally got this shot the way I want it. Kudos to Terri Jacobson (@greygirl25) for noticing the Andy Warhol influence! I’m planning on the mat or frame being right up to the edge of the cans. It may end up being poster size – not quite sure yet!

I’m still workingon “tomato art” for the Tomato Arts festival next month. I love the colors of these tomato cans, but I’m not sure yet if they will be a condender for competition!

This is Big Ben, a beautiful solid blackĀ German Shepherd. He competes in agility and herding events. His human “mom” had lots of action shots of him from competition, but no portraits showing his big brown eyes. He is the best behaved dog I have ever worked with. My dog could take some lessons from Ben!

A yard art windmill. I’m not sure if it really works or is just decoration. I kept waiting for a breeze to blow it, but it was only a hot, not a breezy, day.

It’s day 200 of my 365 day photography challenge. Has my photography improved? I think so. Have I learned to look at a lot of things differently and find the beauty in everyday things? Definitely.
Today’s photo is of home grown tomatoes. There’s a little tomato stand near a friend’s house that has the best tomatoes this time of year. They are grown by a woman in her 80′s. She has a lock box at the stand and everything is on the honor system for payment. You don’t see things like that much any more. I had to get a few when I went to visit my friend.
