While at my parents this weekend my mother gave me some flowers to plant in my new flower bed. This evening I planted the daffodils in anticipation of the rain we’re supposed to get tomorrow. Right now they are in various stages of bloom, some with buds, some with full blooms, and weary from being transplanted. I’m curious to see how they do in the next day or two. Will they perk up after the rain tomorrow, or will they stay on their sides and slowly wilt away? Either way, next year my flower bed should have a bright splash of yellow in the early spring!

This is a country store where the Amish catch the bus to go on trips that are to long for travelling by buggy. The feel is as if you’ve stepped back in time, especially if there are a few Amish buggies parked there while waiting for family to arrive on the bus

My parents live in an area where a lot of Amish families live. They won’t let you take photos of them that show their face. I got these while sitting on my parents front porch. I did a little work on these with a Lightroom preset.

This weekend I went to visit my parents with camera in hand. I got a lot of good shots of them after they quit worry about me snapping away! :) Here’s one of my favorite posed shots.

This is one of the same daffodils I shot two days ago for Day 77, except the sky is blue instead of cloudy and I shot from a different angle. I really like this one. To me is it so warm and bright! The weather has been gorgeous the last couple of days. I’m SO ready for Spring to be here.

With all the negative space it looks ready to be an allergy medicine ad. :)

Theme Thursday this week is lines. I found several things with lines to shoot around the house. The photos I liked the best were of the lines made with the sun coming through my window. It has been so dreary and cloudy the last few days and I was so glad to see the sun! I liked the mood the setting sun cast in the shadows. The first photo is the sun shining through the blinds, complete with a nice little sun flare. The second is the pattern made on the wall from the sun shining through the blinds.
