Today was a partly cloudy, dreary kind of day, so I though B&W was appropriate. This is a light post in a parking lot near where I live. I like the details on it. You don’t see many light posts with details any more.

I was out running errands as the sun was starting to set. Luckily, I just happened to have a camera with me. Both of these shots are SOOC. I didn’t even try to clone out the power lines. I wonder how many people didn’t even notice how beautiful the sunset was because they were in such a hurry. Everyone needs to stop and look now and then.

These are pens. I came across them recently and thought my granddaughters might like them. They are really cute, just like my granddaughters. The animal heads are on little springs so they have the “sproinnnngggg” effect. Don’t know how long they’ll stay together, but they were too cute to pass up.

Theme Thursday is numbers. I’m curious to see what the other 365er’s come up with. One thing involving numbers for me lately is looking at the price of a trip to Italy. I’ve wanted to go to Italy for a long time. Next year I have a “milestone” birthday, so I’m thinking a trip to Italy might be a nice present for myself. I’ve started looking at what it would cost – so I can start saving up!

I’ve been playing with some common household items – shooting them in macro, then playing with Lightroom presets. Here’s another high contrast black and white. Can you tell what it is? It’s a macro shot of the bristles of my hairbrush.
