Justin and Zachary’s mom said, “Their school pictures were awful!” so I came to the rescue. We planned a little excursion to a nearby recreation area at Percy Priest Lake. There were plenty of good spots for some photos, plenty of room for the boys to run off some energy, and ducks to feed! Both boys were more than willing to help come up with ideas for poses, including some with wacky faces and “muscle” arms. There was one little mishap – Justin lost his brand new ray gun! We retraced our steps and found the ray gun lying in the leaves at the first spot we stopped. Luckily the ray gun was blue and white so it was easy to spot!
The boys fed the ducks an entire loaf of bread. Neither of them got wet…not that two little boys would ever try to venture into the water! We all had a great time and I got some great shots. Enjoy the preview.

I don’t know where these soldiers started or where they were going, but they were walking down Lebanon Road in Nashville at lunch time today. Thank you Veterans and everyone currently serving in the military for doing what you do so we can be free!

Playing in the leaves
My oldest granddaughter, Allison, just celebrated her 11th birthday with a slumber party. I still don’t know why it’s called a slumber party when there’s very little sleep involved! Two of her friends, Brooke and Brianna, spent the night. We had the usual pizza, cake, and ice cream followed by Nintendo, a bit of television, some bead work, and a lot of giggling. I fell asleep around 1:00 a.m. and there were still giggles coming from the bedroom. The girls slept in until almost 10:00 – they had managed to stay awake until 3:00 a.m. We had a brunch of French toast, bacon, and omelets. Brunch was followed by some fun outdoors playing in the leaves.Everyone had lots of fun……I bet they will all sleep well tonight!
